About Rhett Winter
Rhett has been working with horses and people for over 20 years and places a big emphasis on the classical concepts of horsemanship. After getting his start helping family friends ride and do ranch work, and then moving on to roping and starting colts, he got a taste of more refined horsemanship under the tutelage of a master horseman at Texas A&M University. After that, it has been a gradual progression of trying to learn as much as possible from each individual horse, and then sharing that with people that love horses.
The biggest difference in this journey has been the transition in approaching horses from an Old Testament Perspective (Law) vs a New Testament Perspective (Grace). As mentioned, horses are a gift from God, and the parallels between our relationship with Him, and our relationship with horses is significant. Once they begin to feel confident and realize they can trust you as their leader, the sky is the limit.
